Harsh Jain named IAMAI Chairman for 2023-2025

New Delhi, May 25: The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) on Thursday announced that Harsh Jain, Co-founder and CEO of Dream Sports has been elected the Chairman of the industry body, following governing council election.
Jain replaces Sanjay Gupta, Vice President and Country Manager, Google India, IAMAI said in a statement.
“Harsh Jain to be IAMAI Chairman from 2023-2025,” according to the statement.
The new 24-member Governing Council and the new Executive Council of the IAMAI will take charge from the present councils at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, it said.
Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO, MakeMyTrip, and Satyan Ganjwani, Vice Chairman, Times Internet, have been elected the Vice Chairman and the Treasurer of the association replacing Shivnath Thukral and Harshil Mathur respectively.
“They would together form the association’s executive council along with the ex-officio member Subho Ray, President, IAMAI,” the statement said.
The IAMAI Governing Council election is held every two years. Eighty-three members of the IAMAI contested the elections this year following the end of the two-year tenure of the previous council.
On May 15, IAMAI announced that 83 members will be contesting the election to its 24-member governing council.
The moves came at a time when the industry body has been hit by infighting and a spate of allegations that it was pushing the views and interests of Big Tech companies. (PTI)
