JAMMU, Apr 8: Son of the soil, Haroon Rashid, won prestigious Hungama.com Artist Aloud Independent Music Award 2018 for the Best Hindi Song ‘Tu Mil Gaya’ crooned by the youtube sensation Shirley Setia.
Born in Jammu, Haroon did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Gandhi Nagar and went on to do Computer Engineering from Lucknow, after which he worked in the IT sector as a software programmer for ITC Ltd and Danske Bank in Bangalore and Copenhagen, Denmark.
Following his childhood passion, he left his job and came to Mumbai to pursue a career in music. Haroon is now a music composer and has composed many ad jingles for brands like McDonalds, Amazon, Volkswagen, Britannia and Lay’s.
