JAMMU, Jan 24: Harmony Cultural Foundation in association with Harmony India, one of the prestigious and reputed organizations in the field of Art & Culture, announced this year’s awards.
The award will be conferred during an impressive ceremony organized on the Foundation’s 5th anniversary at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
‘Life time achievement award’ for this year is being conferred posthumously upon P N Kaul ‘Sayil’, the legendary poet of J&K for his outstanding contribution in the field of Kashmiri language and poetry.
Shrestha Samman is being conferred posthumously upon late O N Kaul (in the field of Literature), Ashok Pandit (Art & Culture), Krishen Langoo (Music), Mushtaq Kak (Theatre), D K Ganjoo (Electronic Media) and Avtar Bhat (Print Media).
‘State Icon Award’ is being conferred upon Veerjee Sumbly (Visual Arts), singer Waheed Jeelani (Kashmiri music) and Aditya Raj Kaul (bold journalism) while ‘Community Icon Award’ is being conferred upon Kiran Wattal, Veerji Dullu and Dr R K Pardesi for community services.
‘Yuva Puraskar’ is being conferred upon young and dynamic personalities Rakesh Roshan Bhat, Akshay Labroo and Rahul Bhat.
