NEW DELHI, Feb 19: Harmony Cultural Foundation an organization working in the field of Art and Culture in association with Harmony India announced the Harmony India Award 2020 recipients. This is the 6th edition of the programmes and over the years Harmony India has been tirelessly working to promote and propagate rich cultural traditions of J&K and has been successful to establish the strong cultural bond across the erstwhile State and nation.
The foundation was established in the year 2014 and is headed by Romesh Zadoo. With last year’s huge successful album release ‘Aahee’, this year there are two more releases by Harmony India. In it’s 6th year edition, the foundation is organizing Harmony India Awards 2020 and musical program at India International Centre ,Delhi on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 6 pm onwards, felicitating eminent and creative personalities, artists, musicians, social activists, theatre and visual artists, journalists etc. of the State and nation.
Special release of this year’s life time achievement awardees included Late Dina Nath Nadim’s “Soun Wattan Posh Hue” shall be performed and presented live by Indian Harmonies Choir composed and conducted by singer-music composer Saurabh Zadoo along with the composer’s new Ghazal album.
‘Life time achievement award’ for this year is being conferred posthumously upon Late Dina Nath ‘Nadim’, the legendary poet of J&K for his outstanding contribution in the field of Kashmiri literature and language.
‘Shrestha Samman’ is being conferred upon Dr. Agnishekhar for his contribution in the field of Literature, Sushil Pandit for his contribution in the field of social activism, Dr. Meem Hai Zafar for his contribution in the field of Shaivism, Dr. Radhika Chopra for her contribution in the field of Classical Music. The Award is being conferred posthumously upon Late P.N.Handoo for his contribution in the field of Monologue and comedy. Dr. Azhar Hajini for his contribution in the field of Art & Culture,
‘State Icon Award’ is being conferred upon Anil Bhat in the field of Journalism, Kuldeep Saproo in the field of Music, Vinay Raina in the field of Acting, Kusum Tikoo in the field of Anchoring & Theatre.
‘Community Icon Award’ is being conferred upon King C Bharti in the field of social activism and journalism and Jatinder Kaw for community services.
‘Yuva Puraskar’ is being conferred upon Abhinav Talashi for being an inspiration to youth and KP startup, Kapil Krishen Mattoo in the field of film production and Pranav Dhar in the field of Sports.
