NEW DELHI: Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday remembered former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on his 67th birth anniversary.
The Minister took to social media share his memories with the late leader as their association dates back to college days where they first met as student activists.
”Remembering my friend and senior leader Sh Arun Jatiley on his birth anniversary,” Puri posted on Facebook.
Mr Puri, sharing a photograph of Jaitley with his wife and children in the summer of 1999, said, ”I join his wife Sangeeta and children Sonali and Rohan in celebrating his life and legacy”.
Arun Jaitley , the late BJP leader was known for debating skills in Parliament and had served as Minister under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi.
Several other political leaders, including cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir, Harsimrat Kaur Badal paid homage to the late leader.
Jaitley passed away this year on August 24 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. (AGENCIES)
