JAMMU, Dec 25: All J&K Goods Carrier Association (GCA) held elections to elect the President of the association.
For the post of President, two candidates namely Davinder Singh and Harbans Singh were in the fray.
A total of 143 votes were polled, out of which 72 votes were polled in favour of Harbans Singh and 71 in favour of Davinder Singh.
Harbans Singh won the election by 1 vote and was elected as new President of the Association.
The election was held under the chairmanship of Charanjeet Singh Raina, Ajaib Singh, Chairman Election Committee and Vivek Mehta, member.
