Harbans Bhalla Trust distributes scholarships among needy children

JAMMU, Sept 15: During the seven-day camp by Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust, 450 needy children were provided scholarships amounting lakhs of rupees.
In the valedictory function on conclusion of  the camp today, A P Sachdeva of Electricfield was the chief guest while Vinod Sachdeva of Monalisa was the guest of honour.
On the occasion, wherein100 children  were distributed scholarships,  the participants were briefed about the medical support programme run by the Trust for the children. The guests told the students about benefits of education and advised them to make full use of the scholarship.
The Trust with a mission to change lives of needy children through literacy support programmes, has been providing scholarships and conducting various other child welfare schemes for the past 16 years. Over 89 percent beneficiary children are from the rural areas.
During this camp, 50 children in special circumstances, including HIV+ve, abandoned, orphan and handicapped, were also provided scholarship.
HBET  is supporting education for the girl child in rural areas of Jammu region. The Trust supports needy and deserving children with renewed passion to remove ignorance and darkness from their lives by providing the light of education.
