Hanging garden to be developed in Rajouri town: Shabir

RAJOURI, Aug 5: With a view to create added tourist attraction in Rajouri town the Government is going to develop a hanging garden near historical fort Dani Dar, said Minister for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan while reviewing the tourism activities being carried out through Tourism Development Authority, Rajouri here today.
The Minister, who is also MLA of Rajouri constituency, said that Centre on the recommendations of State Government has already sanctioned Rs.3.61 crore project for development of the garden.
Mr. Shabir directed the concerned Chief Executive Officers to ensure all codal formalities well in time and start the necessary work at the earliest so that the tourists especially Shadara Sharief pilgrims would get attraction for solace.
The Minister accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Rajouri and Chief Executive Officer, RDA visited the proposed site, took stock of the land acquired for development of garden and directed  District Development Commissioner to sought out the issues with concerned and ensure development of the garden  without further delay. He also reviewed pace of several ongoing tourism developmental projects and directed the concerned to outsource the completed infrastructure so that the tourists get the facilities besides the locals would also get employment.
Mr. Shabir impressed upon the concerned for early taking up the construction work of additional accommodation of 10 rooms at the existing TRC Shadra-Sharief. He also instructed for timely completion of Biatul- Ziarat building at Shadra-Sharief.
