SRINAGAR, May 31: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Hakeem Yaseen has called upon all the social and political parties of Jammu and Kashmir to rise above their individual affiliations and jointly take a review of the new domicile law and Delimitation Commission so that a common strategy on these vital issues of public importance could be adopted to protect socio-political interests of the State.
In a statement issued today, Hakeem Yaseen, while commenting on the new Domicile Law and Delimitation Commission announced recently by the Central Government, said that political parties of Jammu and Kashmir should present a common view point on these vital issues of public importance, instead of issuing different statements.
He said common interests of J&K, especially demographic identity and domicile rights of the people shall have to be safeguarded at all costs. He said that jobs in public sector should be kept exclusively for the local youth of J&K. He said it was imperative as there were limited job avenues available due to limited industrial activities.
PDF Chairman said since implementation of both Domicile Law as well as Delimitation Commission have far reaching consequences on the future of social and political affairs of Jammu and Kashmir , political and social parties should evolve a joint strategy to ensure safeguards to the interests of J&K.
