Guv’s remarks carry implications: Soz

Excelsior Correspondent
SRINAGAR, July 23: Former Union minister and veteran Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz has said that in his occasional naiveté, Governor Satya Pal Malik occasionally forgets that the implications of his statements can create difficulty in the system of his governance. He sometimes wants to talk on issues, transparently, but, that can lead to friction in the system.
In a statement here Soz said while Malik talks against corruption and corrupt persons, his remarks are many times on the correct line but, then, his remarks carry the implications which can create misunderstanding with many political activists in the J&K State.
” It is absolutely wrong for him to consider all J&K politicians to be corrupt. The correct course for him would be to name such politicians who seem to him to be corrupt. It would then be the responsibility of the named characters to get their name/s cleared from the concerned institution or pocket the insult. If he does not do that, then the one-sided narrative will render him ineffective as the constitutional head of the State,” Soz maintained.
