POONCH, July 4: The 18th ‘Gurmat Samagam’ which commenced on May 30, 2016 was concluded today at Gurdwara Yadgar Bhai Bhadur Singh ji at Khari Dharamsal at LoC in district Poonch.
A large number of devotees participated in the religious function. Bhai Lakhwinder Singh from Hazoori Ragi Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Bhai Gurminder Singh Granthi Sri Darbar Sahib, Bibi Varjit Kour from Jammu besides other ‘Ragis and Parcharks’ recited ‘Shabad Kirtan’ and threw light on the life history of Sikh Gurus and Bhagat Dhana Ji.
This year programme was dedicated to 600 Birth anniversary of Bhagat Dhanna ji. The Gurdwara Management Committee honoured the meritorious Sikh students who got positions in 10th & 12th Class.
MLA Shah Mohd Tantra & MLC Charanjeet Singh Khalsa also attended the concluding function.
A memorandum of demands from Sikh community was also given to State Government by S Harcharan Singh Khalsa, through the legislators.
Brig A S Pandarkar Commander Poonch Brigade with other Army officers, ADC Gurvinder Singh Adl S P Poonch were also present.
