SRINAGAR, Oct 13: Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi today convened a meeting to discuss the implementation of rehabilitation and reconstruction plan for affected families of Kishan Ganga Hydro Project (KGHP).
The meeting discussed the activities being carried out by the National Hydro Power Construction (NHPC) under Corporate Social Responsibility and implementation of projects under Local Area Development Fund (LADF).
The Deputy Speaker was briefed that a project of Rs. 2.65 crore has been formulated for the rehabilitation of KGHP affected families. The meeting also discussed the employment package for the affected families.
Deputy Speaker stressed upon the concerned authorities to complete all ongoing projects within the stipulated time for the development of the area.
Chief Secretary, B.B. Vyas, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Hussain, Director Disaster Management, Aamir Ali, Chief Engineer(C) NHPC, Khalid Umar, SDM Gurez, Sandeep Singh, Chief (R) Y. Srinivas, Assistant Manager(C) Dheeraj Kumar were also present in the meeting.
