NEW DELHI, May 27: Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today on sluggish demand amid negligible arrivals.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too pegged at previous levels on scattered buying and selling.
Marketmen said, muted demand due to offseason coupled with restricted arrivals, mainly kept gur prices unmoved.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,000-3,375, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,125-3,200.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,175-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400-3,450. (PTI)
