NEW DELHI, Oct 28: Lethargic conditions developed at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices settled at overnight levels on little alternate bouts of buying and selling amid restricted arrivals.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also pegged same on last levels in thin trade.
Marketmen said adequate stocks and little demand managed to hold gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,300-3,400, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,900- 3,250, khurpa Rs 2,850-2,900 and Ladoo Rs 2,950-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050 and dhayya Rs 3,050- 3,100. (PTI)
