Gupta visits Christian Colony, discusses demands

JAMMU, July 13: Former Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta visited Christian Colony, Christian Grave Yard and Christian Community Complex, Residency Road, under Ward No 7 in Jammu and took stock of the deteriorated conditions of the lanes beside drains in the area.
Gupta was welcomed by members of All India Masih Seva Dal Jammu and Kashmir, including president Camres David (Babloo) and district president Titus Gill who apprised him about problems of the colony.
Later, Janak Raj Gupta spoke to Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation. He said that the Commissioner JMC is very efficient, honest and helpful to the poor people deserves and deserve appreciation.
Camres David (Babloo) demanded for 2% reservation for the community in Government jobs. He also demanded a separate Christian Colony and also said that J&K Minority Commission be revived and at least one member be included in the Minority Commission.
