Gupta says he voted for BJP

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 21: Independent MLA from Udhampur Pawan Gupta today clarified that he has voted for BJP candidate Ram Nath Kovind in the Presidential election held on July 17, the results of which were declared yesterday.
Gupta said it was incorrect to say that he voted for Congress nominee Meira Kumar.
He said someone else might have voted for the Congress but has already made it clear that he voted for Kovind and the Central BJP leadership.
He challenged the State BJP leadership to prove that he didn’t vote for the BJP.
Gupta said he was ready for narco test to establish that he voted for the BJP and, at the same time, the BJP leaders should also be ready for the similar test.
It may be mentioned the BJP leaders had yesterday claimed that independent MLA from Zanskar Bakir Rizvi had voted for them and not Pawan Gupta.
