UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated a Women Cell here.
The Cell has been established to coordinate redressal of developmental and other problems of women folk of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gupta said that with the establishment of the women cell the issues of women folk of different areas of the district would be promptly projected to the concerned Government agencies for early redressal. “Through this cell we will be able to redress developmental related issues of the women of every section of the society”, he said.
For the smooth working of the grievances cell, the Minister nominated Nisha Mahajan as its incharge. Mr. Gupta said that it is a step forward to involve women folk in the developmental activities and their empowerment in the society. He assured all possible help for the redressal of issues related to development in a phased manner.
