UDHAMPUR, June 25: MLA Udhampur Assembly Constituency Pawan Gupta today inaugurated the black topping work on Sunari to Kambal Danga Road. On this occasion a large number of people under the leadership of former Sarpanch Ashok Shastri welcomed the MLA.
While addressing the gathering Ashok Shastri disclosed the black topping of this road was possible with the efforts of then MLA Lala Shiv Charan Gupta in 2002 but later on it was never repair even pedestrian were inconvenient. He also said that due to the sincere efforts of MLA Pawan Gupta today road was again blacktopped and has become a motorable road now.
In his address MLA Pawan Gupta has said that it is unfortunate that previous public representatives did not pay attention towards the development of the Udhampur Assembly Constituency. He also said that during election campaign, I have promised with the people of constituency for over all development especially of the roads and “it is my pleasure that I have contributed my efforts for the development of Udhampur Assembly Constituency’’.
He disclosed that many proposals of roads are in pipeline for the approval of Government and hoped these were initiated very soon. Gupta has also expressed that under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Government is constructing many toilet blocks for the rural people. He disclosed that it is a very healthy move of Government but it is unfortunate that the Government is unable to supply water in these toilet blocks which kills the purpose of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
He also criticized the Government of India for reducing the 80% Aid budget to the State Government. He assured the people of his only mission as MLA is historic development of Udhampur Assembly Constituency.
