JAMMU, Nov 5: J&K UT president of National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI), Rajesh Gupta demanded restoration of statehood to J&K with full job protection and land rights to the locals.
Addressing a workers meet here today Gupta claimed that BJP is trying to destroy the cultural identity of J&K by selling the land to outsiders.
He also claimed that BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu by snatching their lands and jobs while they (BJP) had earlier promised to secure land and jobs for locals.
Gupta demanded special employment package for the youth of J&K as Corona pandemic has rendered millions jobless and many families are at the verge of starvation.
The NDPI leader condemned the order for new land laws in J&K.
He said instead of giving jobs to J&K youth and creating better roads, better health care facilities and more opportunities for the youth, BJP is interested in killing small and medium businessmen.
“They snapped 4G internet service and established Toll Plazas here,” Gupta maintained further demanding regularization of over 62,000 daily wagers working in different government departments.
The NDPI leader also demanded that unemployed youth of J&K should be given employment on fast track basis as there is frustration among the educated youth and the government must realize this.
