UDHAMPUR, May 5: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Gupta today announced that work on the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Garnai costing Rs 4 crore would commence soon.
He announced this at a Public Grievances Redressal Camp organized at the Panchayat Garnai.
Mr. Gupta said the priority of the Government is to provide basic facilities like water, road connectivity, medicare, education, electricity etc to the general public. He said steps are being taken to fulfill the developmental needs of the people. He said a large number of people of the Garnai Panchayat and its surrounding areas would benefit from the water supply scheme.
Mr. Gupta assured the people of time-bound redressal of their genuine problems. He said tangible steps would be taken for the fulfillment of their demands. He called upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of different income generating schemes of various departments for the uplift of their socio-economic condition.
The main demands put forth by the people of the area include construction of road, early completion of four -laning of National Highway in the area, construction of Primary Health Center building, opening of Veterinary dispensary, construction of PMGSY road Flatta to Kraya via Upper Garnai Dalla to Mata Mahamaya and tightening of loosen LT electric wires in the area.
Among others, officers of various departments, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the Panchayat and a large number of people were present in the camp.
