Gupkar leaders misleading people about development: Balbir

JAMMU, Nov 29: Advising the leaders of Gupkar Alliance to update themselves with the facts and ground realities with regard to development before making false statements, Jammu & Kashmir BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that the people can not be misled any more as they have well understood the agenda of NC, PDP and other Gupkaris, which are now shedding crocodile tears for Jammu after being politically isolated.
Balbir Ram Rattan in a statement issued here, today said that the parties which ruled the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir for decades together did nothing on ground, which is a reality and people are well aware of it.
The spokesperson challenged such leaders to come out with at least one developmental project per year during 60 years of their rule and explain as to why they failed to bring in IIT, IIM, AIIMS, IIMC, Medical Colleges, Bio-Tech Park for the then State, leave aside Jammu. They should also accept that these mega projects have been given to Jammu by PM Narendra Modi headed BJP Government during the last 6 years.
“It is the BJP during whose rule Jammu Airport is being upgraded to the International Level, Jammu Railway Station has got modernised with provisions of Escalator, Lift for the convenience of commuters”, Balbir said and added that mega Power Projects, widening and four and six lanning of roads, construction of bridges, development of water bodies like Devika in Udhampur and Mansar Lake in Samba besides four lanning of Akhnoor road with fly over from Bhagwati Nagar to Muthi are such projects which Jammu got only during BJP Government, he added.
Balbir said that the list is very long and the Gupkar leaders would feel ashamed for questioning BJP on development matters. Actually Gupkaris have intentionally closed their eyes and that is why they are unable to see the massive development undertaken by the Modi Government during six years.
Gupkar Alliance is a group of such parties which always discriminated with Jammu in all matters and at all levels. When they talk of Jammu, they should also remember that refugees, SCs, got ill treatment during their Governments only because they had settled in Jammu in majority, Balbir regretted.
