“Gupkar Gang” contesting only to save its identity: BJP MP

JAMMU, Nov 24: Lok Sabha MP of Bharatiya Janata Party from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma today alleged that ‘Gupkar Gang’ was contesting DDC elections only to save its identity.
The BJP MP along with former minister Sham Lal Sharma visited village Ghar Majoor, Budh Chadai, Kanerim, Chowki Choura and adjoining areas of Akhnoor Assembly Constituency and held public meetings to support BJP candidate for District Development Council elections from Maira Mandarian.
Jugal Kishore while speaking on the occasion said that only under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, its Ist time in Jammu and Kashmir that District Development Council elections are being held and it is time to strengthen Narendra Modi Government by supporting Bharatiya Janata Party candidates to make win in District Development Council elections.
He said that tremendous change has been observed after formation of BJP Government in Center in 2014 and three tier system of Panchayati Raj has been established to expedite the rural development. A number of development works have been started in Bharatiya Janata Party’s era. He stressed on Party workers to make contact with people upto polling booth level and asked to contact every single voter & ensure that all the public welfare schemes launched by Union Government reach to the actual needy persons.
While launching attack on NC, Congress and PDP, Jugal said that `Gupkar Gang’ is contesting only to save its identity. They have lost their touch with the public and their real corrupt faces are now exposed. They have ruled state more that 7 decades but no development was given to the people except dominance and poverty. They were against three tier system of Panchayati Raj so that people could not get their right and think about their own development.
Sham Lal former minister said that various development projects have been started in the region. He asked the party leaders to start vigorously campaign to take them to the public. He said that these DDC elections will prove to be a milestone in the development of the area.
Block president BJP, BD Sharma, senior BJP leaders Bharat Bhushan Gupta,Ashok Mishra,Yuva Morcha Rakesh, Sarpanches Madan Lal, Chuni Lal & Panches, Block Development Chairman Rahul and others were also present on the occasion.
