SRINAGAR, Sept 10: The Gulmarg Festival-2023, organized to promote the place as a prominent global tourist destination, concluded today.
The event, which commenced on September 9th, aimed to bolster J&K’s tourism sector by showcasing local talent and a diverse range of sports activities, organizers said.
Renowned local artists and Bollywood celebrity Vicky Kaushal delivered extravagant musical performances, making the event a tremendous success and an ideal platform to showcase the valley’s tourism potential and talent pool.
To add excitement to the occasion, adventure activities such as tethered Hot Air Balloon displays, hiking, zip-lining, Zorbing Ball, Bubble Soccer, Horse & Pony Races, and a Cycling Marathon were also featured.
Lt. Gen. Rajiv Ghai, Chinar Corps Commander, served as the Chief Guest on the final day of the event.
He described the Gulmarg Festival as a unique and impressive showcase, emphasizing Gulmarg’s importance on the global tourist map.
The Chief Guest also congratulated all the artists who mesmerized the audience with their outstanding performances, and winners of various competitions held during the festival were honoured.
