JAMMU, Aug 28: A large number of people belonging to Gujjar Bakerwal community gathered at Trikuta Nagar and protested against the killing of two people of Gujjar Bakerwal community who were mercilessly killed at Srinagar.
The protest was led by former Minister Er. Abdul Gani Kohli, State vice president, BJP Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, Haroon Choudhary, prominent Gujjar Bakerwal leaders. The protesters burned the effigy of Pakistan and raised anti Pak slogans. Click here to watch video
Abdul Gani Kohli condemned the brutal killings of two Gujjar Bakerwals namely Abdul Kohli and Noor Ahmed in Valley and he also demanded that a suitable compensation in the form of Rupees 20 lakhs and job for a family member must be given to their families so that they can lead a normal life without any difficulties. He stated that today everyone has realised in the Valley that all the Kashmir centric leaders who were working for their petty benefits do not care about Jammu and Kashmir and all they are doing is befooling our brothers.
Ghulam Ali also condemned the brutal attacks on innocents in valley and he also demanded that a massive Anti Terror Operation must be carried out in Valley by security forces to wipe out anti national elements from our country.
Addressing the protesters, Haroon said that Gujjar Bakerwal community is a pro Indian community and it has always been in the support of abrogating Article 370 from J&K from a long time.
He said Kashmir centric leaders have always demoralized and tried to propagate false things amongst our Kashmiri brothers.
