Gujjar murdered in Bhaderwah

JAMMU, July 24: A Gujjar was murdered by five persons with a sharp edged weapon over dispute on pasture land at Dhar Dharmas in Thanala area of Bhaderwah tehsil in Doda district this afternoon.
Of six accused, police had arrested three by this evening and was searching two others.
SSP Doda Arif Reshu said six persons attacked 55 years old Gujjar Sabbar Din son of Jabbar Din, who had gone to dhok for grazing cattle in green pastures.
Sabbar Din was attacked with sharp edged weapons leading to his death.
Six accused involved in the attack have been identified as Sultan son of Fayyaz Din, Babbar son of Abdul Gani, Mia son of Abdul Gani, Fayaz son of Mohammad Sharief, Shah Mohammad son of Alia and Naika son of Gulla, all residents of Thanala.
The two parties had dispute over pasture land after which six persons attacked Jabbar Din, killing him.
Police have registered a case under Sections 302/34/147/148/149 RPC for further investigation and arrested three accused. A hunt was on for two others, police said.
Body of the victim has been handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
