AHMEDABAD, Nov 18: The more Rahul Gandhi, aided by his new – found companion Hardik Patel, tries to woo the youth of Gujarat, the more the youth are turning away from him.
This was stated here today by Union Minister and BJP Co-Incharge for Gujarat election, Dr Jitendra Singh, while speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a high-level strategy meeting convened by BJP National President Amit Shah at State Party Headquarters “Kamalam”.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, in a way, it has proved to be a blessing in disguise that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, for the first time, decided to campaign on the ground for the Gujarat Assembly poll. This, he said, has given the people of Gujarat an opportunity to analyse and understand where he stands and where each one of us stands.
Referring to high profile youth mobilisation tried by Rahul Gandhi and his associates like Hardik Patel, Dr Jitendra Singh said, they grossly misjudged the wisdom and maturity of the youth of Gujarat who have been painstakingly groomed and nurtured into an era of sustained development under the leadership of Narendra Modi, first as Chief Minister and then as Prime Minister.
The kind of revolutionary development witnessed by Gujarat, Dr Jitendra Singh said, is a case study in itself for any serious scholar anywhere in the world. For example, he said, the desert of Kutch has been transformed into an international tourist resort, generating unprecedented job opportunities for youth. All this is more than evidently understood by the youth of Gujarat, who are closely connected, well informed and highly progressive, he said and added that these youngsters find their future very well secure and promising under the BJP dispensation.
Dr Jitendra Singh, who has been continuously camping in the industrial city of Surat for the last several weeks, said that initial misunderstandings sought to be created in the name of GST etc., have been cleared and the representatives of the business community are in constant touch with us to offer their inputs without any hesitation or reservation.
