JAMMU, Jan 2: All India Congress Committee secretary, Incharge J&K affairs, Sudhair Sharma has alleged that moves of Modi Govt with regard to GST and demonetization has brought unrest in the country.
Addressing meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu Urban here today at PCC headquarters, Shahidi Chowk Jammu today Sharma, said that it was not an ordinary election going to be held in April-May 2019 but it would be a clash of ideologies-one based on sectarianism and communalism and the other based on secularism, development, togetherness of Indians, unity and integrity of India.
AICC secretary said that because of Narindra Modi’s style of functioning and his ideas based on extreme sectarianism, Prime Minister in his recent interview to an agency, failed to convince people regarding the promises made to the people of this country during the last general elections, where it was mentioned about Rs 15 lakh in the bank account of general public, two crore jobs, MSP to farmers and general such promises. He said that the effects of GST and demonetization has led to unrest in the county and effects of which could be seen in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, MP where people voted out BJP. He said that Congress will emerge as the single largest party representing all the three regions of the State.
Former Minister Raman Bhalla lauded the people of the State who have always given a befitting reply to the communal and divisive forces and maintained their tradition of harmony besides defeating the designs of Pakistan, said that the innocent people were made to believe the falsehood spread by BJP-PDP as per their tactical strategy to rouse the emotions of the people. The unholy alliance by the two ideologically opposite coalition partners had made the people to be cheated and betrayed.
The meeting was presided over by Vikram Malhotra- president DCC and also attended by functionaries of District, Blocks and Wards and senior leaders of PCC.
