GSLV solar panels and reflectors deployed

BENGALURU, June 12:
With the country indigenously launched three tonne satellite GSAT 19 slowly nudged towards its space home, 36,000 km above the earth, spacecraft controllers have successfully launched the solar panels and reflectors to enable it to generate  power.
ISRO on June 10 carried out successfully the two operations with deployment of West and East reflectors and South and North Solar arrays.  The satellite has also be stabilised in three axis.   GSLV Mk III-D1 launched GSAT-19 on June 5, 2017 from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSCSHAR),  Sriharikota.
Once the satellite reached its space home, space craft controllers at the Master Control Facility of ISRO would checkout the payload which included Ku and Ka spot beam transponders before they are declared operational.  (PTI)
