JAMMU, June 18: Jammu and Kashmir Gao Raksha Samiti (GRS) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma and expressed concern over the increase in the smuggling of cows for slaughtering in Jammu region.
During the meeting, the participants condemned this heinous and sacrilegious act, which has deeply hurt the sentiments of the people.
The members urged the administration for cancellation of the licenses of the drivers and route permits of the vehicles involved in such nefarious activities to discourage the illegal transportation of cows.
