JAMMU, Aug 18: GRP Jammu handed over a ran-away boy to his parents and saved him from falling in the bad hands.
According to SP Railways, Suram Singh, on August 9, men of GRP Jammu found a boy aged around 10 years roaming at Railway Station unnecessarily near Platform No 2 and 3.
He said that the boy identified as Sikander Kumar Mukhiya of Sourharba, district Saharsa was brought to police station GRP Jammu with a view to save him from falling in bad hands, adding that through homely discussion, the whereabouts of the boy was obtained.
It came forth that the said boy was residing with his uncle and aunt for the last two months at Jammu and left their home after scuffle on minor issue, SP said, adding that the child was handed over to Child Line for further look and in the meantime his family members were contacted who reached at police station GRP, Jammu.
The child was handed over to his parents/guardians in the presence of Child Line after proper documentation under rules, Mr Singh maintained.
