JAMMU, Feb 23: GRP apprehended two men for evading tax and added Rs 5960 in Government treasurer.
As per official spokesperson, Amir Ali, son of Vakil Ahmed of Uttar Pradesh and Rakesh Kumar of Hiranagar were carrying articles without information to Sales Tax Department and without any kind of documents with regard to payment of sales tax.
They were apprehended by the GRP men and on the directions of SP Railways Jammu Suram Singh, the matter was taken with Sales Tax Department authorities.
The Sales Tax Department authorities seized the goods and made challan of an amount of Rs 5960 on the spot.
