Growing incidents of roadrage

Sir,
Lately, there has been an alarming rise in the incidents of road rage across the country, especially in the NCR. In some case, the poor victims are savagely thrased or mercilessly beaten to death with the helmets and other such things or short to death. Accordingly to studies, about 1500 people are believed to be killed or seriously injured in roadrage incidents across the world every year. The causes of road rage are many such as hitting of the vehicles, lack of parking space, tailgating, honking, refusing to give way etc. Whatever the cause, the road rage incidents are a matter of concern. It seems that these incidents are the result of lack of patience and tolerance which are unfortunately vanishing from the society as a result of fast life. Such incidents can be prevented by following a few measures. People, especially the office goers need to start well in time to reach their destinations in  time.
Moreover, it is better to be courteous and polite and say ‘I am sorry’ if one commits a mistake like changing the lanes without signalling. It is also advisable to avoid a conflict by avoiding eye contact with the person who is angy and in high temper. The driving institutions, police and other law enforcement agencies ought to organise training courses periodically to reorient the drivers about the ways to avoid road rage incidents. Parents should allow their children to drive vehicles only after they obtain their driving licence and are well versed with the traffic rules. They ought to advise them to drive responsibly and within the permissible limits and avoid being rude or using abusive language  for others. The Traffic Police ought to launch a special drive to nab drivers driving rashly under the influence of alcohol or in possession of fire arms and award them exemplary punishment.
Yours etc….
