DODA, Aug 28: A group of 80 students drawn from 33 schools of far flung areas of District Doda was today flagged off for four day interstate study tour by District Development Commissioner Doda, Shyam Vinod Meena.
During the study tour, organized under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan(RMSA), the students will visit various historical places including Jallian Walla Bagh, Golden Temple Amritsar and Wagah Border .
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said these educational tours help in enriching educational knowledge of the students besides promoting national integration.
He also emphasized the need to create awareness among the students about importance of the historical and heritage places of the country and their conservation and preservation.
The DDC also stressed on introduction of innovative teaching learning method in the education system for better understanding of the subject. He further said that value based education should be integrated in the school curriculum.
