Groundnut oil slips on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Aug 25: Groundnut oil prices drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by stockists.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by stockists, fall in demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the slide in groundnut oil prices.
