This is a special marriage, special in the sense that even business tycoons, Ministers, politicians and bureaucrats have not given a thought to arrange this type of marriage, which a middle class small shopkeeper has dared to.

Anil Kumar (30) son of Rita Devi and Madan Lal, resident of Gangyal, the groom runs a mobile shop and his elder brother, Sunil Kumar, runs a cosmetic shop. The bride also belongs to a middle class RS Pura family.
Since early morning, the house of Anil Kumar was thronged by a large number of media persons, who were eager to take interview of the groom and his family members. All the marriage ceremonies like ‘Saant’ and ‘Sehra bandi’ took place as usual but the use of helicopter instead of a ‘Rath’/XUV/ made the ‘Barat’ very special.
In a grand manner, ‘Barat’ was taken out this evening at about 5 pm  amidst beating of drums and Dhols. While Baratis including relatives and friends of the groom left in two buses, the groom, his sister and his sister-in-law (Bhabi) flew at 5 PM in a chopper of a Delhi based private company Maharaja Aviation Private Limited and reached RS Pura at 5.05 PM.
The eye-witnesses told Excelsior that thousands of people from nearby areas reached at helipad constructed in a school premises at Digiana where chopper landed at about 4.45 PM and even at helipad constructed at Kotli in RS Pura to see this historical marriage, where a groom took out Barat in a chopper.
Taking to the Excelsior over phone, elder brother of the groom, Sunil Kumar, said “we belong to a middle class family but my father had big dreams. He wanted to take out my Barat in a chopper but due to some reasons it could not happen but this time he made all out efforts to make his dreams true and finally we did it.
“He (my father) is very happy. In fact, all the family members are so happy and now the media attention which we are getting, has made this marriage more famous and historical”, he said, adding, it was not easy task for us, as hiring a chopper is going to be very costly for us. The chopper company will charge about Rs 70,000 per hour.
“Moreover, we had to go through a lot of formalities to get the permission from the district administration as well as Airport Authority of India, but everything went well and we got permission from the authorities.”
He said that tomorrow morning the chopper will make three rounds and will ferry all our family members from bride’s residence to our residence at Gangyal. On a question he told that bride as well as her family members were wondered when they saw them boarding off a chopper, as they had not informed them about this. “Everything is looking very filmy and like a Bolywood movie”, he added.
