LOS ANGELES, Sept 15: ‘Heroes’ star Greg Grunberg has joined the cast of JJ Abrams’ ‘Stars Wars Episode VII’.
The 48-year-old actor confirmed the news in response to a fan on Twitter.
“Yes it is safe to assume I have a role in ‘Star Wars Episode VII’. If I say more than that, JJ will have me killed,” Grunberg posted.
Grunberg and Abrams are childhood friends who used to make home videos together.
The actor has since popped up in many of Abrams’s productions including ‘Felicity’, ‘Alias’ and ‘Star Trek’.
Earlier this month, ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ cast ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Miltos Yerolemou.
Both Grunberg and Yerolemou will be joining previously cast Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Max von Sydow and Daisy Ridley.
Original ‘Star Wars’ actors will also be featured in the film, including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew.
‘Stars War Episode VII’ is set for release on December 18, 2015. (PTI)
