GREF comes under ambit of probe into ACD’s death

KISHTWAR, Oct 8: The authorities of GREF responsible for the maintenance of roads in Kishtwar district have come under the ambit of probe ordered into the death of Assistant Commissioner Development, Yasir Arafat in road accident.
“The cause of death due to negligence in the maintenance of roads in Kishtwar and execution of sub-standard road works by GREF thereby causing road accidents and death of the passengers be also brought under the ambit of investigation already ordered into the death of ACD”, said the District Magistrate, Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan in an official communiqué to the SHO Police Station Kishtwar.
The District Magistrate has also directed the OC GREF to give road wise, job wise and month wise details of expenditure incurred on execution and maintenance of roads in district for further investigation.
