JAMMU, Feb 8: Grandpar-ents Day was celebrated in the junior wing of KC Public School with pomp and show, here today.
The day celebrated the vital role that grandparents play in our society, as custodians of individual and cultural memories and as providers of care and love to their children and grandchildren.
It made the children recognize the irreplaceable role grandparents have in their families and in the wider community.
The kids presented a spell-binding performance in honour of the grandparents. The grandparents participated in the games organized for them with immense joy. It was a fun-filled day for both grandparents and the kids.
Speaking on the occasion, the Headmistress Sofia Rana said that the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is a special one and the strong emotional ties between them can have a strong impact on the well-being of both generations. The function ended with a vote of thanks.
