JAMMU, Jan 21: In connection with the celebrations of 351st Prakash Purab of 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, a large Nagar Kirtan was taken out from Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Simbal Camp today.
A large number of members of the Sikh community under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch, participated in the Nagar Kirtan.
The program was organized by Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Simbal Camp with the cooperation of the local people and also from the adjoining areas. The route of the Nagar Kirtan was Simbal Camp, Tali Morh, Mera Sahib, Brij Nagar and it culminated at Gurdwara Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib, Inder Nagar. Many Ragis, preachers, poets recited ‘Gurvani’. The Gatka parties from Punjab and Jammu also displayed martial art on the roads during religious procession.
Prominent religious personalities who participated in the Nagar Kirtan included Bhai Harpreet Singh, Bhai Atinderpal Singh, Bhai Gurpreet Singh, Bhai Kamaljeet Singh, Bhai Avtar Singh Dhardi, Bhai Sarwan Singh, Bhai Davinder Singh preacher, Bhai Daljit Singh Ragi, Bhai Lokinder Singh Ragi, Bhai Davinder Singh, poet Bhai Gurnam Singh, Bhai Gurdeep Singh of Kapurthala preacher, Bhai Harmeet Singh, Bhai Harvinder Singh preacher SGPC Amritsar.
Sudershan Singh Wazir, chairman Sikh United front J&K, Raman Bhalla Ex-Minister, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa MLC, Gagan Bhagat MLA, Professor Gharu Ram Ex-MLA, Bhushan Dogra MoS, Dayal Singh Wazir, president Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Surinder Singh Kala, Chairman J&K Motor Transport Companies Associa-tion Jammu, Gajan Singh, president J&K MTCA, Mohinder Singh, Raja Singh and Davinder Singh also attended the programme.
