JAMMU, Oct 23: J&K Grameen Bank, a Govt of India Undertaking, one of the leading Regional Rural Bank of the State having vast network of branches, organized a felicitation ceremony at its  head office, Narwal the other day.
Under the guidance of RK Chhibber, Chairman of the bank, all the branches of Jammu region who achieved their NPAs reduction targets during Qtr-2 of 2016-17 were invited and felicitated by the Chairman in the presence of Janak Raj Angural, General Manager at Head office and  Jetendra Bharadwaj, chief of Audit & Inspection.
Chhibber appreciated the efforts made by the staff to reduce the NPA as on Sept 30, 2016 as compared to March 31, 2016 and June 30,.2016 and appealed to all the staff members to bring this esteemed organization to put extra efforts to curb the NPA at the comfortable level. He also appealed to the general public to regularize their loan accounts by timely repaying the loan installments.
Angural, while speaking on the occasion said that NPA is the biggest challenge for the banking industry and recycling of funds is the prime necessity for the institution and appealed all the Branch heads to ensure asset quality as well as credit appraisal so as to ensure quality of assets of the Bank. Jeetendra Bharadwaj, appealed all the Branch heads to inspect all the units financed by the bank, on regular basis.
KL Sharma, Senior Manager, AMID at head office also appealed all the Branch heads to adopt all the measures undertaken by the Bank with full zeal and enthusiasm. Upinder Sharma, president, Officers Association and  Ranjit Kapoor, general secretary, Officers Association, on behalf of all the staff members, assured the management that all the branches will achieve the set targets of NPA reduction by the end of CFY 2016-17.
