Grameen Bank organizes D-FLAP

JAMMU, Feb 19: Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department of the J&K Grameen Bank,  in collaboration with NABARD,  organized Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes at village Kanhal, tehsil Bishnah,   on the theme of public participation in promoting cashless economy.
Ajay Bharti Gupta, Chief Manager General Adminis-trative Department, J&K Grameen Bank was the chief guest on the occasion. He  made people aware about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. The participants were informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, mobile banking etc. People were educated about the Aadhaar seeding and mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector.
Vipan Gupta, senior Manager, MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank, enlightened people and students about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, use of PoS machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Adhaar based transactions etc. He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by GoI.
Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agricul-ture, Education and NRLM also attended the programme.
Ankush Gupta, Branch head Kanhal, emphasized on various facilities of the bank. He described the problems faced by the general public due to the unawareness of the availability of simple digital and cashless transaction methods.
Rupay debit cards were also distributed to the customers. Car, Transport, CCL, SHG, GCC loans of Rs 34 lakh  were also disbursed during the programme.
