JAMMU, July 7: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural organized camps under Kisan Pakhwada at various locations through different branches under districts-Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch.
About 702 KCC loans were sanctioned and sanction letters were also handed over by the dignitaries to the beneficiaries during the camps.
The aim of Kisan Pakhwada which is being observed all across the country from 07.07.2020 to 21.07.2020 is to distribute Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) to all the eligible farmers to achieve 100 % saturation.
SDM, Ram Lal Sharma advised all the concerned departments to work in close coordination to achieve the target of Kisan Credit Card saturation within the shortest possible time given under Kisan Pakhwada and encouraged gathering to enroll under this scheme.
Shamsher Singh, HOD FIID, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that the objectives of Kisan Pakhwada include achieving saturation of KCC and to identify farmers under PM Kisan, removal of bottlenecks for farmers in obtaining loans against KCC, credit to primary agriculture sector, massive awareness regarding schemes available for farmers and organizing Kisan melas. He also talked about various social security schemes like PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY etc.
Sahil Sharma, Regional Manager Jammu informed the participants about different loan schemes of the bank and also added that hassle free loan servicing is being done in the Bank at lowest possible interest rates. He sensitized the farmers about various digital products offered by the Bank like POS Machine, JKGB M-Bank app, etc.
Officials from Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Department as well as Sarpanchs’, Panchs’ of their respective areas participated in the programme.
All respective Branch Heads also addressed the gathering and requested to all the eligible farmers to avail the KCC from the Bank without any hindrance and then presented the vote of thanks.
