Grains remain flat in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Nov 12:  There was not much activity at the wholesale grains market today as prices by and large moved in a tight range on negligible enquiries and settled at last levels.
Volume of business remained negligible as enquiries from neighbouring area markets restricted amid tight fund positions after the government banned Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in a bid to curb black money.

Wheat MP (desi) Rs 2,590-3,125, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 2,100-2,105, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 2,110-2,115, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 280, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 280, Roller flour mill Rs 1,150-1,160 (50 kg), Maida Rs 1,230-1,240 (50 kg)and Sooji Rs 1,300-1,320 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) Rs 10,700, Shri Lal Mahal Rs 11,300, Super Basmati Rice Rs 9,700, Basmati common new Rs 5,600-5,700, Rice Pusa (1121) Rs 4,500-5,500, Permal raw Rs 2,050-2,075, Permal wand Rs 2,150-2,200, Sela Rs 2,800-2,900 and Rice IR-8 Rs 1,850-1,860, Bajra Rs 1,450-1,455, Jowar yellow Rs 1,800-1,850, white Rs 3,450-3,650, Maize Rs 1,560-1,570, Barley Rs 1,810-1,820.
