JAMMU, Sept 24: Niaz Ahmed Bandey (SE, R&B) was unanimously elected as president, Pradeeep Sharma ( Xen JKPCC) as vice president while Rajesh Sharma (AEE R&B) as general secretary of interim body of J&K Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA).
A meeting of all J&K Civil Engineering Graduates Association (Regd) was held at PWD Guest House, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, under the chairmanship of Mohd Ayub Wani, covenor, JKCEGA, Jammu here today to discuss the burning issues of the cadre and framing of interim body of the Association. A large number of Graduate Civil engineers of all cadre attended the meeting and discussed in detail the burning issues like, regularization/ confirmation of engineers at all levels, release of ACP (Assured Career Progress)/ running grades in favour of in-service engineers, renew of cadre, filling up of vacant post of all cadres and strict implementation of J&K Engineering (Gazetted) Service Rules.
During meeting, an interim body and Executive Committee (core group) was framed today unanimously for carrying out the day to day affairs/ activities of the association and to readdress the genuine grievances of the engineers till the General election of association are held.
DK Rampal, Executive Engineer (R&B) impressed upon all the Civil engineers to remain united for the welfare and get the legitimate rights of the engineering fraternity suffering from the last so many years.
Rajan Mengi, Executive Engineer (R&B), exerted upon all the Civil engineers, especially the young engineers to take lead and unitely fight for the cause of Civil Engineering fraternity.
Mohd Ayub Wani, AEE (R&B) was unanimously elected as convener, Niaz Ahmed Bandey SE Doda as president, Pradeep Sharma, Executive Engineer, JKPCC and AU Naz GM Estates as vice presidents, Rajesh Sharma, AEE (R&B) as general secretary, Zulfikar Ali Choudhary, AE (Hyd) as joint secretary; Pooja Wazir, AEE (R&B) and Rakesh Chandan AE (Hyd) as secretaries; Vikram Sharma, JE (R&B) and Arshad Wani AE(Hyd) as publicity secretaries; Rampal Gupta, AEE (R&B) as treasurer while Vikram Singh Sangral, AE (R&B) as joint treasurer of general executive body.
The Executive Committee / Core Group members are: DK Rampal, Executive Engineer (R&B); Rajan Mengi, Executive Engineer (R&B); Rajinder K Sharma, AEE (R&B); Abhinandan Singh, AEE (Hyd); Rajesh Gupta, AEE (Hyd); Seema Manhas, AE(R&B); Amit Sharma, AEE (R&B); Mohd, Faryad, AE(R&B); Vikas Sharma, AE (Hyd); Ravi Sharma, JE (R&B) and Anshu Sharma, JE(R&B).
It was decided in the meeting to complete the enrollment drive at the earliest, so that general election of the association could be held at shortest possible time.
Guidance Council of the Association was also framed in the meeting with the due consent of senior most Chief Engineers (Retd) AS Wazir, Alok Mengi and serving Chief Engineer R&B Jammu Sudheer Shah, Ashok Gandotra, Chief Engineer, PHE Jammu, Nasir Goni, SE (R&B) among others.
