JAMMU, May 4: Senior J&K National Conference leader and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Provincial president for Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta have alleged that BJP Government has been working against the aspirations of the youth and failed to fill up vacant posts in the Jammu and Kashmir.
The NC leaders made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of young lawyers, in the party office here today. The delegation was led by Harshvardhan Singh, president of the JKNC Student Wing, which focus on addressing critical issues facing the youth.
During the meeting, the young lawyers apprised the senior functionaries of J&K National Conference, highlighting the significant challenges prevailing under the proxy Government of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. They emphasized the failure of the present administration to deliver on its promises, leading to a sense of disillusionment among the populace. The absence of coherent youth-centric policies and the alarming surge in crime rates were among the key issues raised by the delegation.
Sadhotra, in his address, underscored the BJP’s inability to meet the expectations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He observed that the future of youth under the present dispensation is bleak. He emphasized the urgent need for transformative leadership that prioritizes the welfare and aspirations of the region’s youth.
Rattan Lal Gupta asserted that people from all sections of society adversely affected by the present administration’s policies. He said that the highly educated youth of J&K are suffering and the Government is watching like a mute spectator despite knowing the fact that this Union Territory has topped among the unemployment as compare to rest of the country.
Provincial president said that the need of the hour is to change the Government at the Centre by voting and supporting INDI Alliance candidates of upcoming Parliamentary elections Omar Abdullah from Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, Aga Syed Rahullah from Srinagar and Mian Altaf from Anantnag- Rajouri Lok Sabha Constituency.
Seniors among those present on this occasion included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Ayub Malik, Vijay Lochan, Som Raj Taroch, Ashanand, Dr Gazala Noor, Jahangir Mughal, Vishal Thakur and others.
