JAMMU, Sept 27: Kashmiri Pandits have appealed Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha for creating more COVID emergency hospitals in and around Jammu as the cases are fast increasing.
For this the District Disaster Committee under DDC should immediately be asked to make the G B Pant Hospital as an emergency 500 bed COVID facility. This will greatly reduce the case burden of COVID hospitals of GMC, Gandhi Nagar and Chest Disease hospitals which are almost overburdened and under tremendous high stress.
Moreover can Government of J&K emulate the efforts of Amit Shah, Home Minister of India who established 10000 bed hospital at Chtarpur Delhi ,the space for which was provided by Radha Satsang Beas Sanstha. Government should appeal the Sansthas and other big organizations having huge space to provide their facilities at RS Pura, Bantalab and Samba ,Akhnoor, Udhampur, Kathua for establishing minimum 1000 bed hospitals at these locations of Jammu. Moreover the earlier demand of public to open all private nursing homes hospitals for first aid of COVID patients with all emergency medical facilities like Oxygen, medicines, ventilators etc should be done at war footing to save common citizens.
The open space at MAM Stadium can be used for emergency purposes for building emergency hospitals as has been done by the Americans and European countries. “When we also consider to be among the front level nations we have to devise ways and means as and best practices used by those countries for the safety of our people. In Italy Armed forces help was sought to create emergency facilities. The statement was made to press today by Dr Ramesh Bhat Member ISBT, Indian society of Blood Transfusion and Immun-ohaematolgy, J&K-94 and president All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee Desh Ratan Pandita. They also made an appeal to Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh to use his good office in this grave health crisis to save common citizens.
