JAMMU, July 18: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu Province, has appealed the Government to release the funds for salary of FMPHWs before Eid Festival.
In this concern, a deputation of JKMEF led by its president, Sushil Sudan recently met Director, Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, Dr Baldev Raj Sharma at Jammu and discussed the matter with him.
The Director was apprised that FMPHWS working under 2211 Family Welfare Head are without salary for last 16-18 months, who according to him took up the matter with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, which advised the Government of J&K to meet the requirement of salary at their own.
Accordingly, the Director submitted the requirement to the Commissioner/Secretary to Government Health and Family Welfare, who in turn forwarded the same to Finance Department.
Therefore the Federation has urged the Finance Ministry to release the funds at the earliest so that these FMPHWs can receive the salary before Eid Festival.
