JAMMU, Jan 3: J&K State Pensioners’ Association (SPA) has urged the Government to circulate salient features of Group Mediclaim policy meant for pensioners/employees.
Chairing a meeting of the Association here today, JKSPA president, Krishan Singh, said that State Government for the first time considered the pensioners for Group Mediclaim policy but sought circulation of the salient features of this policy for the pensioners/employees to enable them to go through its merits and demerits.
Besides, the quantum of annual premium to be paid by the pensioners is also required to be circulated, he said. He further said though date for filling the enrollment form by the pensioners has been extended upto January 15 giving them the option to send the enrollment forms through the J&K Bank branches from where they are receiving pension, yet this extension is not suffice for those pensioners who are living far off areas of the State.
He suggested the Government to make available the enrollment forms in J&K Bank branches so that the pensioners living in far off areas may get easily and deposit well in time without any hindrance.
