Govt suspends 2 employees arrested by CBI in graft case

JAMMU, May 19: The Government has ordered suspension of Devinder Sharma, Plant Protection Officer and Rajinder Kumar, Field Assistant-I of Directorate of Agriculture Production Department, who were arrested by CBI in bribery case.
“Pending inquiry into their conduct, Devinder Sharma, presently looking after the charge of Plant Protection Officer (PPO) and Rajinder Kumar, Field Assistant-I of Directorate of Agriculture Production Department, are hereby placed under suspension with effect from May 11, 2022, the date of their arrest by the CBI, read an order in this regard, issued by the Agriculture Production Department.
The action has been taken in terms of Rules of 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil services (classification, control and Appeal) Rules 1956.
It be recalled that both the officials were caught red handed by the CBI while demanding and accepting bribe on May 11, following which they were arrested.
