Govt should tackle menace of terrorism with determination: Prof Gupta

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Feb 28: Hailing the Indian Air Force (IAF) action against terror by hitting at their camps in PoK, the former Union Minister of State for Defence, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta observed that this was long over due and should have been taken much earlier. It was good that Modi Government has done it but needed to tackle this menace with great determination, especially at the time when there is global pressure against Pakistan which is also facing with economic chaos.
Commenting on the steps being taken both at home ground as also at international arena, Prof. Gupta said that terrorism is a great threat to peace and humanity but it was unfortunate that neighbouring Pakistan adopted it as its tool to harm India, especially in Kashmir. This has already consumed thousands of human lives and caused sufferings to lakhs others.
As far as Azhar Masood or other devils are concerned, they are in fact the product of notorious ISI, an arm of Pakistan Army, which really dominates any dispensation in the theocratic State which was born out of enmity towards India, he added and said politicians in that country were always as toys in the hands of Generals who had been ruling the roost.
Prof. Gupta said, while firmly dealing with Pakistan in J&K, the mess created over the years should also be cleared and enemy agents, including the dubious characters should also be exposed to have peace and tranquility.
He hoped that all the nationalists and right thinking people would play their positive role by extending their helping hand to the forces in their fight against terrorism, extremism and secessionism.
